View of Blackinton, Berkshire County, M.A., 1889 / drawn & published by L. R. Burleigh.

This panoramic print of Blackinton, Massachusetts was drawn and published by Lucien R. Burleigh in 1889. Blackinton was a small mill town on the banks of the Hoosac River that was a stop along the Fitchburg Railroad between North Adams and Williamstown.

The town’s early economy revolved around agricultural interests and the textile mills that were built along the river.

Blackinton is now considered part of North Adams.

The map includes labeled streets, bridges, buildings and railroad route.
