Historic Map - Brigham City, UT - 1875
Description
This panoramic print of Brigham City, Utah was drawn by Eli S. Glover and published by Strobridge & Co. in 1875. In the 1850's, Mormons created Brigham City, west of the Wasatch Mountains and at the end of a long river canyon. Brigham City was named county seat of government of Box Elder County when it was formed in 1856. The community maintained as a completely self-sufficient co-operative town until the mid-1870's.
