The reproduction panoramic view of Brookville, Pennsylvania was drawn by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler and published by T. M. Fowler & James B. Moyer in 1895. Brookville was founded in 1830 along Red Bank Creek and sits as seat of justice for Jefferson County. The town grew with the harvesting of timber. The many creeks and waterways in the area allowed easy transportation of timber and enabled several lumber mills to be established along the various creek banks and watersheds. Brookvilleï¿½ï¿½ï¿½s location along the Waterford and Susquehanna Turnpike made it an accessible stop over for travelers. Several industries made Brookville notable including brewing and fine furniture making.

The map from 1895 includes Brookville streets, bridges, buildings and railroad lines.
