Reproduction panorama map of Catskill, New York, drawn and published by Lucien R. Burleigh in 1889. Catskill lies between the Hudson River and Catskill Creek in Greene County. Catskill developed as a boat-building, brick-making and milling center. By the mid-1800's the beauty of the waters and the Catskill Mountains were making Catskill a tourist destination catering to the upper classes.
This map from 1888 includes clearly labeled street names and shows railroad routes.
