Reproduction bird's-eye view map of Fonda, New York, drawn and published by Lucien R. Burleigh in 1889. The village of Fonda, in Montgomery County, is located on the banks of the Mohawk River and is connected by bridge to neighboring Fultonville. Fonda boomed with the opening of the Erie Canal and later with the railroad.
This map from 1889 shows buildings, clearly labeled street names and railway routes. There is significant water damage evident.
