This bird’s-eye view print of Medford, Massachusetts was drawn and published by O. H. Bailey & Co. in 1880. Medford was settled in 1630 along the Mystic River. A region of plantations in its early years, Medford evolved into a large ship building community.

Brick and tile were also produced abundantly.

The illustration includes labeled roads, buildings, waterways and railroad route.
