Reproduction aero view map of Morristown, New Jersey drawn and published by Landis & Alsop in 1899. The township that became Morristown was settled by Europeans in the early 1700's. It became a significant location during the American Revolutionary War when General George Washington and the Continental Army camped and headquartered here.
The map from 1899 shows Morristown four years before the Morristown & Erie Railway began operation between Morristown and Roseland. It includes clearly labeled street names and railroad route.
