Spokane, Washinton.

The city of Spokane, Washington was founded on the banks of the Spokane River in 1871, and was incorporated as a city in 1881. The city was selected as a terminus for the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1881, which led to a large boom in population. It is now the second largest city in the state of Washington.
