Map showing the Seaboard, Pennsylvania and Western Railroad and its connections.

The Seaboard, Pennsylvania & Western Railroad served the northern Pennsylvania coal fields during the 1880's. The railroad ran between the Pittsburgh area and Ashland.

At Herndon there was a connection with the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad.

Other stops of the Seaboard, Pennsylvania & Western included Blairsville, Cambria, Cresson, Huntingdon, Lewistown and Edensburg.

This map of the northeastern United States was published in 1884 by G.W. & C.B. Colton & Co. It displays drainage, cities and towns, the coal fields of Pennsylvania, and the railroads of 1884 with emphasis on the main line.

Included are portions of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.
